Monthly wrap-up: December 2016

2016 is ovaaaaa and I'm honestly glad to see it be gone. It was a tough year for me. It ended on a good note, but for most of it, I was struggling with a lot of personal issues. So, BYE FELICIA. I just got back from my trip home to Chicago, and unintentionally went on a little hiatus because of it. I was going to post this before I left, but things got a little crazy and I didn't have time. (Or really want to, to be honest.) But I'm back! And here is my wrap up for December :)

(Also, apologies for all my crazy graphics. A goal of mine for 2017 is to get some custom made ones and stick to those.)

What I read this month

My favorite of December had to be between After The Fall and Violet Grenade. They both delved into the topics of self-discovery and overcoming loss, and were both so achingly beautiful and funny and wonderful that I cried multiple times. After The Fall dumped one of the biggest bombs on me, while Violet Grenade crooned to my darker side in a hilarious and sinful way. (Who's Wilson? Definitely the love of my life.)

On the blog

I, theoretically, had a lot of posts planned for this month. But I never found the time to complete them. (Aka I'm a lazy sack of poo.) So I only posted reviews for this month: One for Frostblood, and then a batch of mini reviews for The Hating Game, After The Fall, Infinity, and Seven Days of You.

TV Shows I've been watching

I'm somehow watching a million shows at once: Penny Dreadful, Sense8, Black Mirror, and Shameless. Shameless is coming out on top at the moment, since I'm so hooked on it, but I seriously love all of these shows. They're so incredibly diverse and interesting. 

Life shenanigans

A lot of exciting things are in the works, but I don't want to talk about it now since it's still a little early. But 2017 is already looking a thousand times better than 2016!
